We already knew Starfield had a strong start, setting various records, but Microsoft traditionally doesn't share sales numbers. However, we have finally received insight into Starfield's sales performance in Europe, courtesy of GamesIndustry.biz. Starfield has become the fifth fastest selling game in Europe this year, outperformed only by Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
This makes it's performance superior to new releases like Final Fantasy XVI and Resident Evil 4, and the fastest selling new IP of 2023 in our region. It should be noted that these figures are solely based on sales, and do not account for the players who accessed Starfield via their Game Pass subscriptions. Therefore, the actual number of individuals playing Starfield potentially far exceeds what the fastest selling chart suggests.
