Remedy Entertainment, the developer behind the recently launched Alan Wake 2, has started releasing a series of patches for the game on several platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox. The patches were issued to fix various bugs reported on all these platforms since the digital launch of the game last week.

Initially, Remedy didn't share any details or notes about the updates, but they have now outlined the patch specifics on their official Alan Wake 2 website. Insight on an Xbox patch was also provided by Remedy's Thomas Puha on Twitter. The latest Xbox patch, version 1.0.0.7, was not detailed on the website; instead, Puha communicated on social media. The updated version makes the Xbox edition more coherent with other platforms and includes bug fixes as well as localization enhancements.

The team is also aware of some sporadic audio difficulties experienced on the Xbox. While explaining that the recently released patch doesn't resolve these issues, Puha ensured that the team is diligently working on it. Seeing as the game was released on Friday and it was now Monday, Puha stated they needed just a little more time to trace the root cause of the audio problems.

Among the various bugs rectified with these patches is an issue concerning an achievement when players accumulated all weaponry, even though this wasn't specifically addressed in the notes. For the most part, the remaining updates, applied on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, were rolled out to address bug fixes and localization issues predominantly. Moreover, for the Xbox platform, patches have been created to correct some UI-related problems and visual flaws.

Alan Wake 2 continues to be available digitally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
